CALL FOR RESEARCH STAFF (Project Assistant) POSITION

About: Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Project Assistant in a time-bound research project sponsored by the SERB (F. No. SPG/2022000330) for a temporary period purely on a contractual basis as per the following details:

Position: Project Assistant

Number of Vacancy: 01

Project Title: Repurposing the endogenous CRISPR-Cas system as an anti-Salmonella strategy

Funding Agency: Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB)

Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Sandhya Amol Marathe, Department of Biological Sciences (PI)

Project Tenure: 2 years 5 months

Job Description: The project assistant will carry out the molecular biology and microbiology work, and analyze the data. He/she will also write the research papers in indexed journals.

Qualification: B. Sc. (Microbiology, Zoology) / B. Tech. / equivalent degree. Candidates with hands-on experience in microbiology & molecular biology will be given precedence.

Upper Age Limit: Age not exceeding 28 years as of the date of the interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.

Fellowship: 20,000 + 9% HRA (as Per Institute Rule)
