Applications are invited for Project Appointment under the following project. Appointment shall be on a contractual basis with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Title of the Project: National Network Project of IBAB (RPO 103)

Funding Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT)

Name of the Project Investigator: Prof. Bibha Choudhary

Duration of the Project: Up to 13.12.2028

Post(s): Junior Research Fellow (02)

Consolidated fellowship/Pay-slab: Rs 37,000/- Plus 24% HRA per Month

Qualifications:

  1. B. Tech or Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or related subjects with at least 60% of marks or 6.50 CGPA from a recognized university.

Desirable:

a) Experience in molecular biology techniques, animal handling, HPLC, etc.
b) Skill: Python Programming, Unix, NGS Data analysis from many sequencing strategies, solid knowledge of R and statistics, strong understanding of concepts in Molecular Biology and Genomics

  1. Experience of working in a cell culture facility, excellent hands-on skills in culturing and maintenance of cell lines, transfection procedures, and cell-based assays.
  2. Ability to maintain accurate lab records and data analyses, good organizational and prioritization skills, team player, and willingness to learn.

Scope of the Project: The successful candidate will work on the National Network Project of IBAB. Suitable candidates will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program. The selected candidate will be provided accommodation in the IBAB hostel.
