Interview for the recruitment in Project Associate I position in Dr. Rituparna Sinha Roy’s lab. A position for Project Associate I is available in the research group of Dr. Rituparna Sinha Roy, Associate Professor, Dept. of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata. The duty involves extensive work on manual solid-phase peptide synthesis and characterization, biophysical work, cell-based work, and in vivo work.

1. Project title: “National Network Project of University of Kalyani and IISER, Kolkata”
2. Funding agency: Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.
3. Principal investigator: Dr. Rituparna Sinha Roy, Associate Professor, Dept. of Biological Sciences
4. Remuneration: Rs. 25000+24 % HRA = Rs. 31000 (consolidated)
5. Tenure: 12 months, it can be extended based on the terms and condition of the project and the performance of the candidate.
6. Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Bioinformatics/Human Physiology/ Biotechnology and Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics/ Physiology/ Biotechnology from any UGC recognized University. Candidate needs to have Chemistry as one of the pass subjects. Candidates need to be either GATE-qualified/NET-LS and having at least 2 year’s research experience in a good national lab.
7. Desirable qualification: Prior two year’s experience in computational biology, solid-phase peptide synthesis, biophysical characterization of biomolecules, cell-based work, and in vivo work (zebrafish/mice/rabbit) are preferred. It will be better if the candidate has publications.
