Eligible candidates may apply for an interview for the temporary project positions of Project Associate-1 (01 position) and Skilled field/lab worker (01 position) in a Contractual Research Project as follows. Please be aware that the project is of SIX MONTHS duration and will end in October 2024.

Emoluments Fixed per month: (INR 25000/- + HRA per month)*
*As per SERB OM no. SB/S9/Z07/2020 dated 25/08/2020 Essential Qualifications:
- Essential: Master’s degree in Nematology / Plant Pathology / Entomology / Plant Protection/ Life Science/ Zoology
- Desirable: Experience of working with plant parasitic nematodes

- Interested and eligible candidates may apply using the annexed Application Proforma, together with relevant enclosures as mentioned in the proforma. The signed Application Proforma and scanned enclosures should be merged in single pdf document of appropriate size and emailed to [email protected]. - The last date of receiving application is 21 days from publication in the ICAR-IARI Contractual Job Web Portal (https://iari.res.in/bms/announcements/jobs.php). If space is insufficient, the Application Proforma could be typed neatly or additional information could be provided in Annexures, duly signed.
- Only the candidates having essential qualifications and proper certificates would be called for the interviews. The candidates shall be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, educational performance and/or relevant research experience, if applicable. Only, shortlisted candidates shall be informed about the screening results via email and shall be invited to attend online/in-person interview in Delhi. The candidates are advised to regularly check their email for updates. No TA/DA shall be paid to attend the interview.
- Age Limit: 35 years maximum (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and woman candidates as per ICAR rules). The post is purely temporary in nature and is co-terminus with the project.
- The engagement will be purely on contractual basis, time bound, non-regular & co-terminus with the project and the incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR or any further contractual engagement on termination of the project. The selected candidate shall have no legal right to claim regularization by absorption or otherwise or any further continued engagement on termination of the project.
- The tenure of engagement will be for the term of the project, not extending beyond October 2024. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period given in the offer letter. During the period of engagement, if the performance is non-satisfactory, the incumbent could be terminated from the position with one-month notice.
- The candidates invited for interview must bring application form, biodata, original certificates, attested photocopies of each of the certificates and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA would be given for the appearance in interview.
- The original documents of the selected/wait-listed candidates shall be checked in person, before the issue of the offer letter.
- Candidates already engaged in employment in government/PSU/autonomous bodies etc., are required to furnish No Objection Certificate from the existing employer. Candidates currently pursuing PhD degree are required to furnish No Objection Certificate from the HoD/Dean/Registrar of the university.
- Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification of the candidature and/or termination of engagement even after appointment. The decision of Joint Director (Research), ICAR-IARI, New Delhi will be final and binding in all respects.
