- Work on savoury product innovations, renovations, and value engineering projects as per business brief.
- Plan and execute rigorous experiments, analyze information and data, and draw scientific conclusions.
- Apply principles of food science, food technology, food chemistry, food engineering, and microbiology at lab, pilot, and factory scale.
- Carry out new product development and improvements based on briefs, focusing on superiority, better for you, better for the planet, and cost effectiveness.
- Conduct technical scoping and benchmarking exercises, collaborating with the CTI team and participating in consumer emersions to identify consumer habits and product drivers.
- Stay up to date with food consumer trends, new ingredient developments, and vendor capabilities.
- Develop relevant SOPs, support the development of KBS (knowledge base systems), create selling stories for products, and train the relevant team.
- Manage raw material and finished product specifications, ensuring quality and technical action standards.
- Identify areas for product improvement and value engineering projects to drive savings, superiority, and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with standards, legal and regulatory requirements, and support risk management and claims.
- Liaise effectively with other functions including METs, GDC, R&D, supply chain, marketing, and cross-functional teams.

- Education: Master’s degree in food science/technology or related course

- Travel: Work-based travel, approximately 10-20% of the time, particularly to manufacturing locations and supplier locations
