Advertisement for engagement of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the ‘SERB’ funded project at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology
Highly motivated and bright candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview (Offline & Online) for engagement of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project funded by ‘SERB’.
Date of walk-in interview: 29.01.2024
Reporting time and venue: 10.00 a.m at the above-mentioned address.
Title of the Research Project: Plasmonic nanostructures derived from metal-organic frameworks for photo-theranostic applications
Principal Investigator: Dr. Asifkhan Shanavas, Scientist-D
Name of the position available: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of positions available: One
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Chemical sciences/Life sciences OR Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pharmaceutical chemistry / Natural Products OR M.Tech in Biotechnology / Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Additionally, candidates should have qualified one of the following examinations.
(A) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
(B) The selection process through National level examinations conducted
by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.Desirable Experience: Prior experience with synthetic chemistry and/or knowledge of crystal structure
Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 29.01.2024, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (pm) + HRA (as applicable)
Project duration: Initially one year and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds. The performance may be reviewed every six months.
General Terms and Conditions:
- The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidates selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of the interview (when the interview will take place in person).
