Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview (in-person) for a purely temporary and co-terminus post of Student Internship under the DST-SERB sponsored project “Herbarium-derived DNA Barcode Library of Gymnosperms and Phylogenomics of Selected Gymnosperms of NE India” at Botanical Survey of India, Shillong. tentatively scheduled on 22nd January, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates may attend the walk-in interview with copy of bio-data along with original and attested copies of certificates like educational qualifications and experience certificates, etc

Monthly remuneration: Rs. 5,000/- (Consolidated)

Qualifications: M.Sc in Botany/Plant Molecular Biology/ Plant Biotechnology from a recognized University

Terms and Conditions:

1. The interview for the above posts will be conducted in-person at Botanical Survey of India, Shillong on 22nd January, 2024.
2. Only Indian citizens are eligible for appearing in the personal interview.
3. Age limit: 18-35 Years as on 22-01-2024 (Relaxable for Female candidates, SC/ST and OBC as per existing rules of Govt. of India).
4. The appointment for Student Internship will be for a period of two months.
5. The above positions are purely on a temporary basis. The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment or absorption at Botanical Survey of India at any point in time.
6. No TA/DA and official accommodations will be paid/provided for appearing in the interview.
7. Only the candidates having essential qualifications will be considered for the interview.
8. Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification, etc. before appearing for the interview.
9. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature or termination.
10. Persons already in employment should submit a “No objection Certificate” from their present employer.
11. The selected candidate will be required to undergo a two months internship at Botanical Survey of India, Shillong.
12. The eligible candidates appearing for the interview in-person are requested to bring a copy of the bio-data, original and duly self-attested all supporting documents/certificates.
13. The Director reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview without assigning any reason thereof.
14. The decision of the Director, Botanical Survey of India, will be final and binding on all aspects.
15. The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of a job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
16. In case of any dispute, it will be resolved within the jurisdictions of the Meghalaya court only.
