The Division of Plant Omics at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar is actively engaged in multidisciplinary research in frontier areas of modern biology and biotechnology such as stress genomics & proteomics, transgenic, plant-microbe interactions, metagenomics, marine biotechnology, adaptation biology, etc. We are looking for young, talented & motivated persons in the project “Soil nutrients, enzyme activities and microbial community in natural farming of coastal and semi-arid agroecosystems of Gujarat (Project No.: GAP 2167 )” funded by the GSBTM, Gandhinagar, sponsored Project

Desirable Skills

Work experience in soil nutrient and microbial analysis, Real-time PCR, and Next-generation-sequencing.

Fellowship

(i) Rs. 31000/- + HRA@pm for M.Sc. (Microbiology / Biotechnology) scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or (b) a selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government

departments and their agencies and institutions.

(ii) Rs. 23213/- fixed @pm for others i.e. M.Sc. (Microbiology / Biotechnology) who do not fall under (a) and (b) above.

The interested candidates meeting the above qualifications may appear before the Selection Committee in a walk-in interview to be held on 12 February, 2024 (10.00AM) at CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Candidates should bring the duly filled application (in the prescribed format available on our website), one passport size photo, and one set of all certificates along with originals at the time of the interview. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The duration of the posts is five years in any sponsored project/scheme. It would not confer any right or claim for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR. Candidates are responsible for their own travel arrangements to appear in the interview at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar. No TA/DA will be provided.
