VIT Vellore Non-Medical Project Jobs For Biotech, Life Sciences – Apply Online
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is inviting applications for the post of Project Scientist B (Non-Medical) for a funded project by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The project is being carried out at the Centre for Biomaterials Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT) located at VIT Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
Title of the Project: “Injectable dental biomaterial with osteogenic and antimicrobial properties – an attempt towards indigenization of multifunctional dental biomaterial”
Qualification (Essential):
- First Class Post-Graduate (PG) Degrees including integrated PG degrees in Chemistry/Biotechnology/Bioscience/Life sciences or equivalent
- Second class PG degrees including integrated PG degrees with PhD
For example:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biotechnology/Bioscience/Life sciences or equivalent or
- M.Tech. / M.E. / M.S. in Bioengineering / Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology/Material Science or equivalent
Qualification (Desirable):
Candidates having hands-on experience in the area of tissue engineering/biomaterials/animal experimentation will be preferred.
Stipend:
Rs. 56,000/- + 9% HRA per month (for first two years), Rs. 58,800/- per month + 9% HRA (for the third year) for candidates with ICMR/DBT/CSIR JRF/Valid GATE score. For non JRF/GATE qualified candidates, the stipend will be paid as per the Institute’s norms.
