Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Molecular Diagnostics PLM professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, development, and performance of molecular diagnostic assays for the identification and characterization of infectious diseases, genetic disorders, and cancer markers. The Molecular Diagnostics PLM professional will also be responsible for analyzing data, interpreting results, and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assay Design and Development
- Design, develop, and optimize qPCR assays for the identification and characterization of infectious diseases, genetic disorders, and cancer markers
- Execute research and development activities through all phases of product development
- Perform research related to improving and expanding core technology capabilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze experimental results and provide written reports and oral presentations to executives
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external use
Molecular Assay Development
- Hands-on involvement in molecular assay development, verification, and validation
- Own and drive technical sub-projects to guarantee overall project success
- Create documentation for R&D deliverables according to SHPL Design Control Process
Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with QA, regulatory, and manufacturing teams for successful transfer of processes
- Provide technical support for manufacturing, clinical evaluation, and regulatory filings
Education and Experience:
Ph.D. or master’s degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology, or a related field and 1-3 years of industry or research experience in a similar field.
Required Skills:
- Experience in development of qPCR assays, master mixes, and extraction procedures
- Proven experience in qPCR kit development, including primer and probe design
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, LAMP, NGS, Sanger sequencing, and microarray analysis
- Strong background in bioinformatics with proficiency in relevant tools and software
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for molecular diagnostics product development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
