National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER-R), Raebareli, an autonomous institute under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, is inviting applications for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA). This recruitment is for the research project titled “Design, synthesis, characterization of Dibromo Indolizine analogs and evaluation of their anti-inflammatory activity in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced model in vitro,” sponsored by the Council of Science and Technology, U.P. Lucknow.
Position: Junior Research Assistant (JRA)

Tenure of Appointment: 2 years, with a possibility of extension based on performance
Stipend: INR 25000/- per month (consolidated)
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates should possess M.Sc. (Life sciences)/M.S. (Pharm.) or M. Pharm. in Pharmacology or Pharmacology & Toxicology or a PG degree in another relevant branch of life sciences.
- High academic achievement with 1st class graduate and post-graduate examination with fulfillment of basic qualification.
- Preference may be given to candidates with exposure to cell-culture/experimental skills.
- Age limit: Maximum 28 years as on 1st April 2023 (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GoI rules).

The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the post of JRA for UPCST sponsored Project.” A scanned copy of the duly filled and signed application form, along with all the certificates, should also be sent through email to PI: [email protected] and/or to Co-PI: Dr. Sandeep Chandrashekharappa, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, NIPER-Raebareli; [email protected] with the subject line “Application for the post of JRA for UPCST sponsored Project.”Note: The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate will be called for an interview. The candidate will be shortlisted based on merit and the need of the project. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview schedule within 2 weeks of the last date of the application. Shortlisted candidates must be present physically for the interview along with original certificates. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Since the position is purely temporary, no claim for regular appointment/continuation of services in any other project will be entertained.
