Job Description: The project involves understanding the cross-talk between the nucleus and mitochondria during cancer initiation and progression, as well as the role of mitochondria in cellular homeostasis. The project requires the application of molecular biology techniques, cell biology, and biochemical techniques. The candidate will be expected to work not only in NIBMG but also in the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi as part of the PI’s laboratory in both institutes.

Consolidated Remuneration [INR] Per Month: Rs 35000/- (consolidated) (expected to be revised to the current DST guidelines in the near future)
Essential Qualifications: As per CSIR Guidelines for Research Scheme/Sponsored Schemes/Emeritus Scientist.

Desirable Qualifications: The candidate is expected to have the capability of carrying out cell biology experiments in human cells. Candidates with experience
in molecular biology and biochemistry will be preferred.Nature of Duty: The candidate will be expected to shuttle between NII and NIBMG labs with a willingness to learn state-of-the-art cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical assays.
The upper age limit for applying for SRF shall be 32 years.
Age relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC/women and physically handicapped candidates.
