Are you passionate about upstream drug substance processes and cell culture development? Do you have experience in process development, tech transfer, and analytical techniques for bioproducts? If so, we have a rewarding opportunity for you as a Cell Culture Development Scientist at LCCI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead for cell line generation and cell culture in CMC teams, collaborating with external partners.
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments for the generation of cell lines and drug substance.
- Lead upstream process development, scale-up, process optimization, control strategy development, and technology transfer for assigned bioproduct projects.
- Collaborate with other scientists and multidisciplinary teams to support process and product development.
- Work effectively with external parties on platform development projects, research collaborations, and outsourcing efforts.
- Author and review CMC documentation, including technical reports and regulatory submissions.
- Support organizational initiatives as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental guidelines and promote a proactive safety culture.
Educational Requirements:
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with 3-6+ years of industry experience.
Experience Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and experience in CMC development, manufacturing, and compliance requirements.
- Expertise in upstream process development with a focus on cell culture.
- Familiarity with cell biology, molecular biology, and recombinant protein expression.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong laboratory skills.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with various groups.
- Experience with process control and documentation systems.
- Problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
