In this role, you will play a vital role in programming, dashboard development, and data cleaning and review for ongoing clinical studies. Working under the guidance of an experienced programmer, you will contribute to cross-functional initiatives to support our clinical trials.
Accountabilities:
As a Clinical Programmer II at AstraZeneca, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, implementing, and validating programs in SAS, Python, R, SQL, or dashboard applications like PowerBI and Spotfire
- Processing, analyzing, and reporting clinical trial data for review by clinical study teams
- Collaborating with various teams to deliver end user reporting needs
- Ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs by completing documentation associated with programming tasks
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, life science, or statistics
- Good programming skills and prior experience in SAS, Python, R, SQL, or dashboard applications
- Basic knowledge of the clinical development process
- Proficiency in developing dashboards using PowerBI or Spotfire
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Basic knowledge of FDA regulations and GCP/ICH guidelines related to clinical programming processes
- Prior experience and understanding of EDC systems like Medidata Rave, Inform, Veeva, Saama, Entim, and SAS LSAF
- Knowledge of MicroStrategy is an added advantage
