The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on contract basis:
Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate – I
Name of the project: Casprl as a Regulator of Neuritogenesis in Adult Retinal Neurons under Altered Metabolic Conditions: Implications for Diabetic Retinopathy

Minimum Qualifications:
Essential: M.Sc. in Biology (or) BSMS in Biology (or) equivalent degree.
Desirable:
- M.Sc./BSMS degree in the field of Life sciences/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Neuroscience/ Veterinary sciences/ Zoology/ Biosciences/ Biotechnology.
- Knowledge and experience in experimental techniques like cell culture, biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques is highly desirable.
Fellowship:
(i) Rs. 31,000/- + 8% HRA to Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + 8% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Tenure: The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and coterminous with the project.
