Post I

Project: SARS-CoV2 anti-viral activity testing platform to support the preclinical development of new chemical entities, and natural products from Academia, Start-ups and Pharma companies

PI: Dr. Amit Awasthi

1. Research Associate I/II/III

One | Age: 40 years

Qualification: PhD in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized University.

Expertise: Immune response studies or RNA-seq data analysis. Familiarity with mice infections studies, molecular cloning, enzymatic assays, and tissue culture work. The candidate should have published at least one first author publication.

Salary: Research Associate-I (Rs. 47,000/- + HRA) / Research Associate-II (Rs. 49,000/- + HRA) / Research Associate-III (Rs. 54,000/- + HRA) Depending upon experience

Post II

Project Associate-II

One | Age: 32 years

Qualification: Post Graduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ M. Pharma (Pharmacology)/ M.V.Sc with a minimum of two years of post-qualification research experience in academic or industry set up.

Experience: Animal experimentation, molecular biology techniques particularly PCR

and related techniques. Preference for BSL3 experienced researchers

Salary: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA

Post III

Project: INvestigating and translating genomIc eviDence for public health rEsponse to SARS-CoV2 (INSIDE-SARS-CoV-2)

PI: Dr. Sankar Bhattacaryya

Co-PI: Dr. Shailendra Mani

4. Research Associate-III

One | Age: 40 years

Qualification: Ph.D in any branch of Life sciences from a recognized university with two years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

Desirable: Proficiency in working with mammalian cell culture, Isolation of RNA, Reverse transcription and PCR & other molecular biology techniques. Working with virus culture, determination of infectious titer, virus isolation from clinical sample(s), Isolation of viral nucleic acid, Virus neutralization assay. Immunological assays like ELISA, Immunoblotting, Indirect Immunofluorescence etc. Experience in animal handling and working in a BSL3 Laboratory

Salary: Rs. 54,000/- + HRA

Post IV

Project: Platform for discovery of novel therapeutic monoclonal antibodies against MDR and XDR Klebsiella pneumoniae

PI: Dr. Susmita Chaudhuri

5. Project Associate-II

One | Age: 35 years

Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with two years of post-qualification experience in R&D.

Expertise: Recombinant protein purification, biochemical and/or biophysical assays, and molecular biology. Tissue culture work, RNA work, RT-PCR, etc. Hybridoma technology, small animal handling experience.

Salary: Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions): Rs. 35,000/- + HRA; for others who do not fall under (i) above: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA

ix) Caste / Disability certificate in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India, if applicable

2. Procedure for filling up online application:

i) The eligible and interested candidates may apply online at the Institute’s website
www.thsti.res.in/career. Applications through any other mode will not be accepted.

ii) The following will be the step wise procedure

A) Step 1 : Details of applicant
B) Step 2 : Uploading of documents
C) Step 3 : Payment of application fee

• The payment can be made by using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking
  / UPI.
• Once payment is made, no correction / modification is possible
• Candidates are requested to keep a copy of the provisional receipt forfuture
  reference.
• Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Details of fees to be paid are as shown below:

D) Step 4 : Submission of application form

iii) On successful submission of application, an auto-generated email containing the
reference number will be sent to the email address provided. Please keep a note of
the reference number for future correspondence.

iv) Candidates are required to keep a printout of the online application form by using the
print button on the dashboard for future reference.

v) Candidates must ensure that he / she fulfils all the eligibility criteria as stipulated in
the advertisement. If it is found that he / she does not fulfil the stipulated criteria
during the recruitment process, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled. If
the same is noticed after the appointment, the candidate will be terminated following
due process.

vi) Incomplete applications shall be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this
regard shall be entertained.
