We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate Publications Writer to join our team at Pfizer Life Sciences. As a leading biopharmaceutical company, Pfizer is dedicated to improving the lives of patients around the world. This position will be based in Mumbai, India, with the option to work remotely.

Main Responsibilities / Duties

• Support the development of abstracts, posters, manuscripts, congress presentations, and slide decks as per required business needs under the supervision of the Publications Writer.
• Conduct data mining and ensure data quality control of all documents.
• Adhere to general publication policies and company policies on all documents.
• Provide regular updates on projects using trackers and presentations.
• Train on developing plain language summaries for all manuscripts.
• Provide scientific support at congresses, including the development of materials and reports.
• Support the Medical Affairs group with literature reviews, summaries, and preparation of slide decks.
• Ensure the delivery of all required activities within expected timelines, on budget, and adhering to all necessary guidelines.

Associate Publications Writer Responsibilities

• Support manuscript writing, including researching, organizing, compiling, and quality checking various types of technical and medical information.
• Create slides, abstracts, training materials, and style guides as needed for clients and their diverse audiences.

Required Skill Set

Technical

• Good scientific writing skills, including the ability to interpret and summarize complex data effectively.
• Proficiency in utilizing tools such as OvidSP and other bibliographic databases.
• High fluency in written English and strong functional fluency in spoken English.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing and negotiating abilities.
• Previous experience with software commonly used to present and analyze data (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, EndNote).

Managerial

• Report directly to the Publications Lead-GMAIST.
• Work closely with Publications Writer, Global Medical Affairs Leads, and Publication coordinators.
• Interact with Medical Affairs colleagues at local, regional, and global levels.

Certifications

NA

Education

Post-graduate/Doctorate degree in life sciences/pharmacy/medical sciences or equivalent degrees.

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience for medical graduates/PhDs. More than 3 years of relevant experience for masters in life sciences.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in publication writing in academic settings/communications experience within an agency, CRO or Pharma/Biotech Company.
