National Institute of Immunology, located in New Delhi, is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (Project). The selected candidate will work on the project titled “Regulation of malaria parasite division by protein phosphorylation”, funded by SERB. This position is available until February 20, 2025.

Educational Qualifications:

  • M.Sc in any area of Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry.
  • The incumbent should have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’.

Job Description:

  • Experience in Bioinformatics, proteomics, and genomics is desired but not necessary.
  • Expertise in molecular biology, recombinant DNA, and protein chemistry.
  • Handling of mammalian cell lines, malaria parasite cultures, live cell, and confocal microscopy are encouraged to apply.

Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per rules, depending upon qualification & experience: Rs. 31,000/- per month plus 24% HRA. (As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019)

General Terms & Conditions:

  1. The selected candidates will be on contract for one year or duration of the project, whichever is shorter.
  2. No hostel/housing facility will be provided.
  3. Applicants should mention the category they belong to (SC/ST/OBC/PH) and attach documentary proof.
  4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  5. In addition to the application, candidates should send a complete Curriculum Vitae (CV) with the names of three referees. The CV should include details of experimental expertise and a list of publications.
  6. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and they will be required to submit attested copies of all their certificates and a Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- drawn on Canara Bank or Indian Bank payable at Delhi/New Delhi in favor of the Director, NII (SC/ST/PH and Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees, subject to submission of documentary proof) at the time of the interview.
