Position Purpose
As a Research Scientist – Toxicology, you will be responsible for the propagation and maintenance of cell lines, as well as testing new active ingredients against them. Your main objective will be to characterize the molecules for their toxic nature and advance the identified leads from discovery to pre-development/development of innovative chemicals for crop protection/growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of invitro toxicological tests for lead selection and characterization.
- Demonstrate expertise in steroidogenesis and genotoxic tests.
- Maintain different cell lines and operate toxicology lab equipment.
- Design experiments as per requirements.
- Analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot scientific problems, and document findings.
- Adhere to safety, information security, and quality norms.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and competitor intelligence.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Update timesheets and progress trackers as directed.
- Present results in cross-functional project teams and work across various projects to achieve results.

People Responsibilities:
- Lead professional development through continuous learning.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams.
- Monitor activities of research associates and workers.
- Remain updated with knowledge required for new active ingredient discovery.
Qualifications
Education: Ph.D./Masters in life science with specialization in toxicology from a reputed University/Institute with excellent academic credentials.
Work Experience: 2-5 years of post-academic industrial research experience.
Industry: Agro Chemical / Seed / Agriculture Universities or Institutes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of crop protection.
- Proficiency in data assessment and analysis.
- Excellent experimental skills.
- Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
