Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing sales growth in a specified geographical territory, consistent with company strategy and objectives. Your main focus will be on educating and informing physicians and/or hospital staff about the features and benefits of our client’s products compared to competitor products, with the aim of increasing prescriptions and use by healthcare professionals.
Essential Functions
- Achieve assigned activity goals and targets for the territory, with guidance and coaching from the reporting manager.
- Conduct sales interviews, pre-call planning, and preparation to identify learning areas from each call.
- Promote and sell therapeutic products to general practitioners, healthcare providers, and other healthcare professionals in the retail market.
- Identify target customers within the territory and maintain customer records.
- Maintain records in the reporting systems, utilizing relevant software to keep records updated and report daily calls.
- Organize and hold group events to optimize business, ensuring compliance with relevant country legislation.
- Keep line manager informed about competitor activities and market changes.
- Maintain up-to-date sales and technical knowledge of specialty and disease areas and relevant publications.
- Ensure safety and proper maintenance of company equipment.
- Share experiences, ideas, and techniques to assist with the sales training of colleagues.
- Discuss, agree, and document assigned activity, Key Performance Indicator tools, and targets with line manager.
- Complete career development courses and additional training as required.
- Report any identified Adverse Events in line with guidelines.
- Adhere to the Pharmaceutical Industry’s Code of Practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
- Basic knowledge of the Pharma Market and related procedures.
- Proficiency in software operating systems, such as MS Office and CRM systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct face-to-face presentations to customers.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Valid driver’s license.
