ICMR-National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health is currently hiring for the position of Project Research Scientist –I (Non-Medical) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The position is under the ad-hoc project “Development of a Sustainable Network of Laboratories in India for Identification, Monitoring and Research on Virus and Bacteria Causing Acute Encephalitis Syndrome and other Novel Pathogens through Capacity Building in Advanced Biomedical Technologies” funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research. Consolidated Salary: Rs.56,000/- plus HRA as admissible
Essential Qualification:
- First class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees in Biological Science.
- Second class Post Graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD in Biological Science.
Desirable: PhD in Biological Science with experience in research on clinically relevant infectious agents including molecular diagnosis, genomic surveillance, serological diagnosis in hospital/lab settings. Experience in overall project
management and coordination with clinical sites, imparting training in molecular and serological diagnosis, data collection, compilation, bioinformatics and statistical analysis, preparation of diagnostic reports.Age Limit: 35 Years
Duration: 9 months

- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee selection.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
- Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible.
- If required, written test in the subject area will be held to shortlist candidates for the interview depending upon the number of candidates.
- It may be mentioned here that incomplete applications, application not submitted in prescribed format and application without supportive documents asked for shall be summarily rejected.
- The Director & appointing authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
