Job Description:

Areas of Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

• Play a pivotal role as unit quality lead in collaboration with unit team to improve and sustain quality systems and capability development at unit level
• Carry out end of the line inspection of all finished goods at the unit as per UFPS standards
• Conduct RM/PM inspection as per standards and sensory evaluation of samples
• Lead root cause problem solving investigations for issues that occur on quality at units
• Responsible for capability development of unit quality team on quality standards
• Engage unit quality teams for the implementation of quality standards
• Ensure all regulatory requirements to be complied without any deviations
• Responsible for planning and conducting periodic Internal Audit, MRM for FSMS
• Take appropriate action/approval for QC hold/under deviation/reworked material
• Ensure MIS report submission to Unit Head, Cluster QA & QA-HO as & when required

Areas of Responsibilities:

Production Process

• Support all inter-departmental teams for ensuring smooth production in line with adherence to quality standards
• Develop Training calendar and impart trainings on quality related topics to unit team
• Responsible for certification/implementation of ISO 9000/22000 as per organization requirements
• Ensure training of unit team for skills such as cross functional, quality etc.
• Ensure CAPA to all quality issues including customer complaints if any
• Drive improvements in areas where targets are not met using RCPS methodology
• Responsible for working-out and verification of CAPA with process owners
• Implement Production Schedule as per the plan
• Achieve Order Execution & Annual Production Plan via resource optimization
• Monitor line-wise production output
• Report any production-related issues and take corrective actions
• Ensure production activities such as packing, sealing, filling, machine operation etc. are smooth with product quality as per standards and on time production
• Entering & Maintaining production data in SAP
• Adherence to procedures w.r.t. safety, quality, environment& security standards of the Company

Resource & Materials Management

• Report resource capacity and need for allocation
• Follow-up with material department for low stock items
• Report status on materials efficiency

Productivity Management

• Co-ordinate for production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules
• Update and maintain production, maintenance and malfunction records
• Implement recommend solutions to resolve identified problems to improve performance
• Motion, method & time study to reduce manpower to the optimum

Continuous Improvement

• Implement corrective & preventive actions planned
• Ensure production /material flow /housekeeping & conformance to Health & Safety & Environment standards, Quality Management as per plan
• Participate in regular meetings, shop rounds to ensure compliance of factory rules/standards set for Industrial safety, Environment System to meet Quality & business standards
• Co-ordinate with Maintenance executive as per plan (to reduce downtime)
• Engage, guide and train workmen to ensure production delivery is not impacted
• Out of the box idea to innovate or adopt methodology to reduce utility consumption
• Conducting daily shop floor toolbox talks on safety, quality & productivity improvement

Qualification:

UG or PG in Food Tech, MSc Microbiology, Biotechnology or similar food science
