About the job
We are seeking a Senior virologist to join our team at AnaBio Technologies. As a Senior virologist, you will be responsible for performing antiviral efficacy testing as per international standards, organizing the day-to-day activities of the virology lab, and ensuring its smooth and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Culture and maintenance of different cell lines.
- Optimization of culture condition for high titer virus production.
- Culture and stock preparation of different viruses.
- Titration of viruses by cell-based assays – Plaque, TCID50, and Immunofluorescence assay.
- Perform antiviral testing as per standard test methods.
- Maintain proper labeling, handling, storage, use, and disposal of solutions, biohazard and hazardous waste, and microbiological cultures (both bacterial and viral) of BSL2 category level.
- Generate, evaluate, and revise SOPs and maintain documentation as per GLP practices.
- Generate reports for the technical team and clients.
- Provide analytical support to the team and ensure test procedures are performed within specified quality guidelines.
- Review and confirm data from assays performed by other members of the Virology team.
- Perform preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain adequate inventory of laboratory supplies and reorder as required.
- Ability to communicate with counterparts in Europe, USA, and China on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. with specialization in virology and 2+ years’ experience or Master’s degree in virology with at least 5+ years’ experience in laboratory operations.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
