Project Associate I – Surveillance of Water Quality- WTPS Underground & Distribution Network In Delhi
Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for the engagement of R & D project staff through offline interviews at CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Delhi Zonal Centre. The positions are purely temporary and include projects such as “Surveillance of Water Quality- WTPS Underground & Distribution Network In Delhi” (CNP-2804).
Position: Project Associate I

Essential Qualification: MSc in Microbiology/ any field of life sciences/ Instrumentation from a recognized University or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with a microbiology or life sciences (any field) degree.
Upper Age Limit: 35
Monthly Emolument:
- Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under the above criteria.

- Water Quality Testing (Physical, chemical, Organic and Heavy metal analysis)
- Microbiological parameters
- Data analysis
- Report preparation

Mode of Selection: Selection will be done on the basis of Physical/Offline Interview. The date of the interview will be notified separately through e-mail to the shortlisted candidates.
Important Information:
- All project staff positions are on a contract basis and will be co-terminus with the project, with a maximum duration of five years.
- The upper age limit will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
- Candidates are not required to pay any application fees.
- Only candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and have declared results are eligible to apply.
- Result awaited/Final semester appeared or Ph.D. submitted candidates are not eligible to apply if minimum essential qualification requirement is mandatory.
- Final semester and result awaited candidates are not allowed to appear for the interview.
- Experience, where required, will be counted from the date after acquiring the minimum educational qualification.
- Time spent in acquiring higher qualification will not be counted as experience over essential qualification.
- Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview. Preference will be given to candidates who have additional qualifications and experience.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the offline interview, and the information will be communicated via email.
- Upgradation to another project is not allowed. If shortlisted, candidates have to apply again and may have to appear for a new interview.
- CSIR-NEERI reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the offer of engagement in case of any discrepancy in the candidate’s candidature at any stage.
- Selected candidates are expected to join within the specified time frame mentioned in the offer letter, after completion of pre-appointment formalities.
- Engagement under a new project will require submission of necessary certificates and resignation from the previous project.
- The engagement may be terminated at any time without assigning any reasons, with a one-month notice.
- Accommodation is not provided, but HRA will be provided as per applicable rules.
- The offer letter will initially be issued for a period of six months, with an extension subject to performance and availability of funds.
- CSIR guidelines for Ethics in Research and in Governance shall apply.
- No TA will be paid for appearing in offline interviews.
- No claims for a permanent position will be entertained.
- Other terms and conditions will be as per the guidelines issued by the funding agency/CSIR-NEERI.
