About the Role

We are inviting applications for the position of Scientific Data Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for various data management tasks related to new product addition and quality maintenance. Your attention to detail and knowledge of biological, molecular biology, and microbiology techniques will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data.

Responsibilities

• Inputting data related to new product addition
• Producing kit protocol booklets based on guidelines and input from teams
• Updating data with high attention to detail
• Performing data quality checks, including screening potential new product data images
• Maintaining Abcam’s high quality standards

Requirements

• Proficiency in biological assay techniques such as ELISA, immune-turbidimetric assay, CLIA, rapid test, and NAT assays
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques including PCR, Real Time – PCR, Western blotting, and HLA typing by DNA
• Familiarity with microbiology techniques like BMD, antifungal sensitivity, Galactomannan, and fluorescence microscopy
• Basic knowledge of IHC (immunohistochemistry)
• Experience with databases such as Uniport, NCBI, and PubMed is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis techniques
• M.Sc./PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Applied Genetics, or Biotechnology field
