Interview Question 1: Can you explain the process of isolating and identifying bacteria or microorganisms in a laboratory setting?

Answer: In a laboratory, bacteria or microorganisms are isolated by streaking a sample onto a culture medium, providing appropriate conditions for growth (moisture, aeration, temperature, nutrition), and periodically subculturing to maintain strains. Identification involves using specialized equipment like microscopes and Bioscreen to study how antibodies affect these microorganisms.

Interview Question 2: Describe your experience with HPLC analysis and validation. What do you understand about HPLC instrument maintenance, and why is it important?

Answer: HPLC analysis involves separating and quantifying components in a sample. Validation ensures the method’s accuracy and reliability. Maintenance includes cleaning, calibration, and service logs to guarantee precise results. It’s crucial because accurate data depends on the instrument’s proper functioning.

Interview Question 3: How do you handle team coordination between the farm, QC, QA, R&D, and plant sections? Can you provide an example of a challenging coordination task you’ve managed?

Answer: Effective coordination involves clear communication, setting priorities, and ensuring each department understands its role. An example of a challenging task might be ensuring timely immunization and sample collection from the horse farm while aligning it with QC and R&D requirements.

Interview Question 4: Could you explain your experience with ELISA and protein estimation techniques in a laboratory environment?

Answer: ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) is a method used to detect the presence of specific proteins, antibodies, or antigens. Protein estimation involves quantifying the concentration of proteins in a sample. My experience includes performing ELISA tests and using various methods for protein estimation.

Interview Question 5: How do you ensure the compliance of laboratory procedures with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain records for equipment calibrations and validations?

Answer: Ensuring compliance with SOPs involves regularly updating and following them meticulously. I maintain records for equipment calibrations and validations by scheduling yearly and half-yearly calibrations, documenting the process, and retaining service reports for future reference. This meticulous record-keeping ensures adherence to quality standards.
