National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) is a Statutory Body, established under Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The Authority is functioning under Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Govt. of India and is headquartered at Chennai.
NBA invites applications for filling up of one post of “TECHNICAL OFFICER (INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS)” on Direct Recruitment basis.
In terms of National Biodiversity Authority (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Officer and other employees) Regulations 2006 & MoEF&CC OM dt. 21st June 2023, the post is to
be filled up by direct recruitment.Name of the post: TECHNICAL OFFICER (INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS)
Classification: Group “B” Non – Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)
No. of post: 1 (One) (Unreserved)
Age limit: 30 years. Relaxable for serving Government servants upto 40 years (with not less than three years of continuous service) (Relaxable by 10 years for PwBD applicants)
Probation Period: Two years

Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
(a) Bachelor’s Degree in law from a recognized University or
Institute or equivalent; and working Knowledge in Computer.
(or)
(b) Master’s degree in Biological / Life Sciences from a Recognized University or Institution or equivalent and a pass in Patent Attorney Examination conducted by the “Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, Government of India with working knowledge of computers.
Desirable:
(a) Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent.
(or)
(b) A doctorate in Biological / Life Sciences.
Experience :
Essential:
(a) Two year experience as an Advocate or Legal Consultant dealing with the matters relating to Consumer/Patent Rights/Intellectual Property Rights.
Desirable:
(a) Two year experience as a Legal Consultant in Handling matters related too Consumer / Patent Rights / Intellectual Property Rights.
