Essential Qualifications: PG degree (MSc/ MTech/ MDS/ MBBS/ MD) with PhD (Life sciences / Biomedical Science) with 2 years experience in AAV vector and preclinical / clinical trials desirable.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates should have experience in maintaining laboratory mice and significant expertise in mice experimentation procedures. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in molecular gene or cell therapy of human diseases. The candidate should ideally have 3 peer reviewed publications in this subject.

Answer: My research experience in molecular gene and cell therapy of human diseases has been focused on developing novel AAV-based vectors for gene delivery and studying their therapeutic potential in preclinical models. This expertise directly complements the objectives of the “Laurus Center for Gene Therapy” project at IIT Kanpur, as it aims to advance the field of gene therapy for human diseases.
3. Question: The job advertisement mentions a preference for candidates with three peer-reviewed publications in the subject. Could you highlight the key findings or contributions of your publications? Answer: Certainly. My three peer-reviewed publications have all centered on AAV vector-based gene therapy. 5. Question: The project involves conducting preclinical and possibly clinical trials. Can you explain your experience and understanding of the regulatory guidelines and ethical considerations related to such trials? Answer: I have a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory guidelines and ethical considerations associated with conducting preclinical and clinical trials. During my research, I have been involved in preclinical studies that adhered to the principles laid out by regulatory authorities such as the US FDA and the ICH guidelines. I am well-versed in obtaining necessary approvals from ethics committees and regulatory bodies, ensuring that all experiments are conducted with the highest standards of safety and integrity. Additionally, I am aware of the importance of informed consent in clinical trials and the necessity to comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines to maintain data integrity and participant welfare.
