- Question: Can you elaborate on your research experience in one of the thematic areas mentioned for the PhD program? Answer: During my Master’s degree, I conducted research in the field of Infection & Immunology. I worked on studying the host-pathogen interactions and immune response mechanisms in infectious diseases. I utilized various techniques such as cell culture, molecular biology, and immunological assays to investigate the underlying mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.
- Question: How does your academic background and research experience align with the goals of Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI)? Answer: My academic background in biomedical sciences, combined with my research experience in infection and immunology, directly aligns with THSTI’s mission of conducting innovative translational research to improve human health. I have gained a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for interdisciplinary research, and I am eager to contribute to THSTI’s ongoing biomedical research programs.
- Question: Have you previously participated in any national level examinations that provide fellowship for a PhD program? If yes, please provide details. Answer: Yes, I have qualified the CSIR-JRF examination, which provides a fellowship for pursuing a PhD program. The examination tested my knowledge in various aspects of biological sciences and research methodology. Securing the CSIR-JRF fellowship not only validates my academic proficiency but also reflects my dedication and commitment to pursuing a career in research.
- Question: If shortlisted for the written exam, how would you prepare for it? What areas or topics would you focus on? Answer: If shortlisted for the written exam, I would thoroughly review the fundamental concepts and recent advancements in my research area, such as infection and immunology.
