Essential Qualification & Experience –
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following & should have 2 years of research experience.
A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
B. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable Experience – Experience in cancer biology, cell biology and molecular biology techniques, developing and handling mice for experiments and tumour tissues processing, knowledge of basic immunology, metabolic diseases and enzymology is important. Good working knowledge of flow cytometry and microscopic techniques is a must.
Total Monthly Emoluments – Rs. 35000 /- + HRA

Desirable Experience – Candidates with strong background in Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology techniques will be preferred. Candidates with prior experience in C. elegans genetics and cell biology will be given preference.
Total Monthly Emoluments – Rs. 20,000/- + HRA

Answer: Yes, I have gained hands-on experience in cancer biology through my research projects during my postgraduate studies. Moreover, I have also worked with microscopic techniques such as immunofluorescence and microscopy imaging to visualize cellular structures and processes.
- Question: Have you worked with RNAi and antiviral host defense mechanisms against DNA viruses? Answer: Yes, I have practical experience in RNAi-mediated antiviral host defense mechanisms against DNA viruses. I have conducted experiments involving RNAi techniques, such as designing and performing knockdown experiments, assessing gene silencing efficiency, and studying the impact on viral replication. I have also employed various molecular biology techniques to analyze the effects of RNAi on viral infections.
- Question: Could you elaborate on your experience in basic cell and molecular biology techniques? Answer: I have been actively involved in basic cell and molecular biology techniques throughout my academic and research journey. I have conducted experiments involving PCR, handling cell lines, cloning, and performing Northern and Southern blotting. I am proficient in DNA and RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and other fundamental molecular biology techniques necessary for experimental analysis.
- Question: How familiar are you with C. elegans genetics and cell biology? Answer: I have a strong foundation in C. elegans genetics and cell biology. I have worked with C. elegans as a model organism during my research projects. I have experience in handling and maintaining C. elegans strains, performing genetic crosses, and conducting phenotypic analyses. Additionally, I have employed various cell biology techniques specific to C. elegans, such as immunostaining and fluorescence microscopy, to investigate cellular processes.
