Indian Nationals are invited for a personal interview (both online & physical mode) on May 18, 2023 at about 10.00 am for one temporary position of “Senior Project Associate” under the project entitled “Neural circuit and behaviour” in the School of Biological Sciences, NISER Bhubaneswar funded by DAE, Govt. of India.

Age – 40 years as of May 17, 2023, age relaxation to entitled categories as per GOI rules.
Tenure – The above
position is purely temporary for six months or completion of the project, whichever is earlier and strictly co-terminus with the project and not leading to any Ph.D. degree in NISER. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration/ absorption against any NISER post.How to Apply –

QUALIFICATION –
- Master’s degree in Biology or Biological/Life-Sciences from a recognized university or
equivalent;
AND - Minimum Four years of experience in research and development in industrial and/or academic Institutions or science and technology organizations.
OR
Doctoral Degree in Biology or Biological/Life-Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent.
Preference will be given to the candidate with
- Experience in working on animal models.
- Experience in neuroscience research and techniques including stereotaxic surgeries,
behaviour, and neuroanatomy. - Hands-on experience on immunofluorescence, image analysis, and brain mapping.
The aim of this project is to find out the shared neural pathways in the brain linking these two intricate functions, and common neuromodulators employed by these pathways. The candidate will perform the experiments, process the brain, analyse the behaviour and changes in the neural circuits. Monthly Emoluments – ₹42,000/- pm plus HRA (as per rules)
