Location: Chennai/Cochin
Position Requirement
Immediate requirement for an experienced Biotech Professional with 3-5 years of experience (Academia/industry) in Molecular Biology/ Diagnostics.
Educational qualifications:
MSc./Ph.D in any area of Life sciences
Professional Requirements
- Highly dedicated and motivated individual with good leadership and troubleshooting skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team
- Experience in handling different NGS platform and Molecular biology techniques
- Experience of working with size selection beads for sequencing platforms
- Experience in handling and managing Genomics lab according to ISO standards
- Providing support and guidance for other molecular biology activities in the lab as needed
- Excellent knowledge of Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Nano-biotechnology and related fields
- Hands-on experience in DNA, RNA and protein isolation from samples from different sources
- Well verse with Gel Electrophoresis: Agarose gels and PAGE
- Expertise in Real time PCR technique including primer designing and Multiplexing PCR
- Microbial Identification, Cloning, mammalian cell culture and other Molecular biology techniques
- Sample processing (Sequencing, PCR, qPCR etc), preparing the reports and maintaining sample inventories.
- Maintaining proper records of all the lab work
- Strictly adhere to lab Quality Processes and follow SOPs
- Strong technical writing skills (procedures, protocols, manuscripts and reports)
- Participation in internal research projects
- Able to teach and train new interns and junior scientists in Laboratory Operations
- Troubleshooting, Standardization, and Documentation of new protocols and workflows, Inventory management
- Manuscript preparation and submission for publication in high quality journals and timely submission and follow up of patent applications.
- Well verse with equipments such as Oxford Nanopore, Agilent TapeStation 2200, Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100, Qubit Fluorimeter and Nanodrop
- Able to address client technical queries and managing the team in Lab operations
- Interaction with the Business development team and provide technical support for working with clients to ensure that the final products meet their needs and requirements, provide support in developing contents for websites and product.

Answer: I have provided hands-on training to junior scientists and interns in various molecular biology techniques and ensured that they are properly trained in laboratory safety procedures. I have also mentored them and provided regular feedback to help them develop their skills and grow as scientists.

Answer: I have published several research articles in high impact factor journals, and I am well-versed in manuscript preparation and submission.
