Applications are invited for the temporary position of Project Assistant to work on “Small-Molecule Autophagy Modulators for Treating Neurodegenerative and Neurodevelopmental Disorders” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Sridhar Rajaram, International Centre for Materials Science, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru 560 064.

Answer: One challenge could be obtaining high yields and purities of the synthesized molecules. To overcome this, I would optimize reaction conditions, purification techniques, and characterization methods. Another challenge could be limited availability of certain starting materials or reagents. In such cases, I would explore alternative synthetic routes or collaborate with other research groups to acquire the required materials. Additionally, ensuring the reliability and reproducibility of the autophagy assays can be challenging. I would implement rigorous quality controls, replicate experiments, and validate the results using different assays or techniques.
