Advertisement for one position of Project Associate at the Research Integrity Office (RIO) and Regulatory Compliance Office (RCO)

The Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (DBT-inStem; www.instem.res.in) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. DBT-inStem shares a campus with the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), and Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS) which together constitute the Bangalore Life Science Cluster (BLiSC). The Research Ethics

and Integrity Office (RIO) provides support to various stakeholders working on campus to ensure the ethical and responsible conduct of research. The Regulatory Compliance Office (RCO) facilitates regulatory compliance for the research and research infrastructure on the campus.

Post: Project Associate – One Post

The selected candidate will work full-time with the RIO and RCO at DBT-inStem in a project that aims to understand challenges in the field of academic integrity and regulatory compliances at Indian higher education institutions, develop a resources database, and organise capacity-building workshops for academicians across the country.

Period of Appointment: The appointments will be a fixed-term position initially for 10 months. The selected candidate would be expected to serve the entire appointment duration.

Age Limit: Below 30 years (as on 21.05.2023)

Qualification & Experience: Masters in Sciences (preferably in biological sciences) with experience in a peer review publication process and basic data analysis (desirable). Applicants with knowledge about research and publication ethics, database management, and/or regulatory compliance are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of RIO (PI) and collaborator (RCO) in the project management to deliver specific project objectives.
  • Assist the Head of RIO (PI) and collaborator (RCO) in organising capacity-building workshops.
  • Assist in conducting online surveys.
  • Assist in developing an online resource database.
  • Assist institute administrative and finance team with the project and workshop-related documentation.

Consolidated Pay: The position comes with consolidated pay of ₹ 31,000 based on qualification and experience.
