Roles and Responsibilities:
- To maintain the workplace neat and tidy and follow GLP requirements religiously
- To perform analysis of Finished Products Raw Material, In process and Stability Study of Biotechnological samples.
- To be responsible for sample management.
- Raw material sampling as per sampling SOP
- To prepare and standardize wherever required bench reagents, indicators, volumetric solutions, and buffer solutions as per need and record the data
- To record the raw data of analysis in respective protocols and review them before submission for verification to Superior/ Head of the department
- To follow SOPS related to activities and operations
- To perform and record the calibrations of instruments as per schedule.
- Preparation of Working Standards, volumetric samples and maintain the documents of the same.
- To monitor and record temperature and humidity of QC department.
- To report OOS results and deviations occurred during testing and operations to Head QC for performing investigation. Investigation and reporting of any “OOS observed in QC along with Section Head and Manager QC.

- What are your responsibilities as a Quality Control Officer?
As a Quality Control Officer, my responsibilities include maintaining the workplace clean and organized, performing analysis of finished products, raw materials, and biotechnological samples, managing samples, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), recording raw data, monitoring and calibrating instruments, and reporting any out-of-specification (OOS) results or deviations to the Head of QC for investigation.
- Can you explain your experience with GLP requirements?
Yes, I have experience following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements, which include maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), keeping accurate records of experiments, calibrating equipment regularly, and following SOPs.
- How do you prepare and standardize bench reagents and volumetric solutions?
To prepare and standardize bench reagents and volumetric solutions, I follow the procedure outlined in the respective protocol or SOP. This involves measuring and mixing the appropriate amount of chemicals or solvents, verifying the pH and concentration with appropriate indicators or standards, and recording the data accurately in a logbook or electronic system.
- How do you handle OOS results or deviations during testing?
If I encounter any OOS results or deviations during testing, I would immediately report them to the Head of QC for investigation. I would follow the established procedure for documenting and reporting the incident, and work with the team to identify the root cause, perform corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- What analytical instruments are you proficient with?
I am proficient with a variety of analytical instruments, including HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, pH meter, balance, and others as required by the QC laboratory. I have experience with instrument calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and data analysis using appropriate software tools.
