Hey there, looking for some interview questions and the answers for the role of Lab associate at Bharat Serums and Vaccines (BSV), then check them out below
- Can you describe your experience with U(H)PLC and Mass Spectrometry based method development and qualification? Answer: Yes, I have experience in developing, qualifying, and characterizing bio-similarity and comparability studies of monoclonal antibodies(mAbs) and therapeutic proteins using U(H)PLC and Mass Spectrometry based techniques. I have also performed setup and raw data acquisition on U(H)PLC and Mass Spectrometry based experiments.
- How familiar are you with protein sample preparation techniques such as centrifugation, concentration, and extraction? Answer: I am very familiar with protein sample preparation techniques like centrifugation, concentration, and extraction. I have hands-on experience in preparing Protein/Glycoprotein and Glycan samples for LC-MS based experiments. I have also performed peptide mapping digestions using various enzymes for LC-MS based experiments.
- Can you describe your experience with protein-related Bioinformatics tools? Answer: Yes, I have good hands-on experience with protein-related Bioinformatics tools. I have used tools like BLAST, ClustalW, and SWISS-MODEL for protein sequence analysis, alignment, and structure prediction.
- Have you ever faced any challenges while performing LC-MS and characterization experiments? How did you overcome them? Answer: Yes, I have faced challenges during LC-MS and characterization experiments. For example, sometimes we encountered interference from the sample matrix, which caused issues with detection sensitivity. To overcome this challenge, we optimized the sample preparation and used a different LC-MS method to improve the detection sensitivity.
- How do you ensure data integrity and good documentation practices while performing experiments? Answer: I ensure data integrity and good documentation practices by maintaining records and compliant documentation of all the analysis/experiments performed. I also follow standard operating procedures and guidelines while performing experiments, and document every step of the process. Additionally, I cross-check my work and review it with my team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
