Hey if you are interested in applying for this JRF post at SJRI, then you need to be well prepared for an interview, so check out all of the possible interview questions and the answers below.

  1. What is your experience with wet lab techniques in cellular or molecular biology, and how can you apply these techniques to evaluate the molecular mechanism of therapy resistance in leukemia? Answer: I have worked with wet lab techniques such as DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, transfection, and western blotting. I plan to use these techniques to evaluate the role of various signaling pathways involved in therapy resistance in leukemias.
  2. Can you explain your understanding of intercellular signaling, and how will you use model system(s) and primary cells from leukemia patients to evaluate intercellular signaling in this study? Answer: Intercellular signaling is the communication between cells in different ways, including juxtacrine, paracrine, autocrine, and endocrine signaling. In this study, I plan to use model system(s) and primary cells from leukemia patients to investigate the role of specific signaling pathways in therapy resistance.
  3. How will you design experiments to evaluate molecular mechanisms of therapy resistance in paediatric Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)? Answer: I will design experiments based on the available literature and previous research to evaluate the role of various signaling pathways and specific molecules involved in therapy resistance in pediatric ALL. I will use different techniques such as RNA sequencing, western blotting, and confocal microscopy to analyze the molecular mechanisms of therapy resistance.
  4. What is your experience in coordinating between research teams and departments, and how can you use this experience in this project? Answer: I have worked on several interdisciplinary projects during my graduate studies, and I have experience in coordinating between research teams and departments. I can communicate effectively with researchers from different backgrounds and disciplines, which will be useful in this multidisciplinary project.
  5. Can you explain how you can correlate developmental findings with specific disease conditions based on the lab’s interest in this study? Answer: I plan to investigate how specific developmental processes, such as cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis, are affected in therapy-resistant leukemias. By understanding the changes in these processes, we can identify potential therapeutic targets and better understand the disease pathogenesis.
