National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Hajipur is an autonomous Institute of National Importance set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high-quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up the following post of research assistant under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) sponsored purely time-bound project undertaken in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER Hajipur.

Project title: Modulation of fluoride-induced histopathological, cognitive-behavioural alteration in adult and developing rodents by naringin

Name of the PI – Dr. Nitesh Kumar

Description of the project

: The project involves the elucidation of naringin in prevention of fluorosis-induced neurodevelopmental disorder.

Project duration: 2 years (Total 3 years)

Age limit: Not more than 29 years as of the date of advertisement.

Relaxation on qualification and age: SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates will get relaxation as per Govt. of India Rules.

Terms and conditions:

  1. The above position is purely contractual and initially for 1 year. The continuation of the fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance and review at the end of the year. On satisfactory performance, the tenure of the fellowship may be further extended to a total of 2 years.
  2. The selected candidates will not be entitled to claim regular appointment/absorption in the institute.
  3. If the candidate fulfils the Institute criteria, admission in PhD may be considered.
  4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  5. Candidates reaching after the specified time may not be entertained.
  6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.

Essential: M.S./M.Pharm in Pharmacology/Pharmacology and Toxicology, M.Sc. in Medical Pharmacology/M.Sc. Biotechnology / M.Pharm with preferably good NET/GATE/CSIR qualification and research experience in the related area will be preferred.

Salary: Rs. 32,350 fixed per month

    As a graduate in Biotechnology, I have a keen interest in research and have been following the work done at NIPER Hajipur for some time. My research experience has taught me various techniques for conducting animal studies, pharmacological assays, and data analysis, which I believe will be valuable for the current project.
  3. How do you plan to contribute to the project?
    Answer: I plan to use my knowledge of pharmacology and toxicology to conduct experiments and analyze data effectively. I am also skilled in using various software and tools for data analysis and presentation, which will help in presenting the results of the project. I am eager to learn new techniques and methods to contribute my best to the project.
  4. How do you manage your time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines?
    Answer: In my previous research projects, I always set goals and created a plan for each task. I use tools such as to-do lists, Gantt charts, and calendars to ensure that I complete each task on time. I am comfortable working under pressure and have experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously. I believe that effective communication and collaboration with team members are essential to meet deadlines and achieve project goals.
