💡 Here are a few possible interview questions for the above job posting and their answers.
👍We hope this helps in giving you a rough idea as to how to prepare for the interview for this specific role. Good luck!
- Can you explain your experience in mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques?
Answer: Yes, I have experience in cloning, transfection, Western blots, and co-immunoprecipitation techniques. I have worked with mammalian cell lines and have generated stable cell lines with WT and mutant proteins.
- How familiar are you with confocal microscopy and immuno-staining?
Answer: I have experience with both confocal microscopy and immuno-staining. I have used these techniques to visualize and analyze cell-cell junctions and validate the computationally predicted models of cell-cell assemblies.
- How would you validate a computationally predicted model of a cell-cell assembly?
Answer: I would generate stable cell lines expressing WT and mutant proteins and use co-immunoprecipitation and confocal microscopy to validate the cell-cell junction. I would compare the experimental data with the computational model to evaluate its accuracy.
- Can you tell us about a project you have worked on that required good organizational skills?
Answer: Yes, I worked on a project where I had to generate stable cell lines expressing multiple constructs. I had to plan and execute the experiments in a timely and efficient manner to meet project deadlines. I maintained detailed records of the experiments, including protocols, results, and observations.
- How would you communicate your findings from a project to your team and other stakeholders?
Answer: I would prepare a clear and concise report summarizing the project goals, methodology, results, and conclusions. I would also create figures and graphs to help visualize the data. I would present the report to my team and other stakeholders in a meeting or seminar and answer any questions they may have.
