General Terms & Conditions –
- The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
- No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
- Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email about the date and time of interviews. Interview of shortlisted candidates will be held online through video conferencing.

Educational Qualifications – M.Sc./M.Tech degree in any area of Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences with a good academic record. M.Sc. candidates should have qualified for any National Level Eligibility Test such as (NET/GATE etc) for applying for the above position
Job Description & Desired Knowledge: The JRF will perform the experiments to maintain cell culture, production of AAV viruses, quantification, in vivo silencing using mouse models, qPCR analysis of genes, western blotting of proteins, data documentation, and maintenance of laboratory records.
The preference will be given to candidates who have hands-on experience in the following areas: Cell biology (bacterial and cell culture), handling of mouse models, and organ harvesting, and are well-versed in molecular biology techniques.
Emoluments – The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments of Rs. 31,000/- per month plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019).

- Can you describe your experience with cell culture? Answer: Yes, I have experience with cell culture techniques such as maintaining cell lines, media preparation, and passaging cells. I have also performed experiments using primary cells and have experience with aseptic techniques.
- What is your experience with mouse models? Answer: I have worked with mouse models for in vivo studies, including handling and breeding mice, administering treatments and performing surgeries, and harvesting organs. I am familiar with ethical considerations when working with animals and follow appropriate guidelines.
- Can you walk me through your experience with molecular biology techniques? Answer: I have hands-on experience with a variety of molecular biology techniques, including DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, cloning, and protein analysis using western blotting. I have also worked with gene editing techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9.
- How do you ensure accurate documentation of experimental data and laboratory records? Answer: I keep a detailed lab notebook with protocols, observations, and experimental data. I also use electronic data storage and organize data in a systematic way. Additionally, I regularly discuss my data with my PI and lab members to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Have you worked with AAV viruses before? If so, can you describe your experience? Answer: Yes, I have experience with AAV virus production and purification, as well as the use of AAV for in vivo gene silencing. I have performed experiments to optimize AAV production and have experience with different serotypes and delivery methods. I have also used AAV for gene editing experiments using CRISPR/Cas9.
