Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following project position

Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 position)

Project title: Understanding the enigma of interconnection between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and neurodegeneration utilizing genetically predisposed IBD mice model.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Santosh Chauhan

Age Limit:  The candidate should be below 28 years of age, as of 22.04.2023. Age relaxation

will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA@16%

Eligibility: Candidates having M.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects such as Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point (50% for OBC/ST/SC) and a minimum of two years of research experience are eligible to apply. Candidates should have also qualified NET-JRF/ NETLS/ GATE. Working experience in handling mice and research work in the field of breast cancer will be preferred for this position.

    Answer: The candidate should outline their proposed experimental design, including the specific research questions, hypotheses, methods, and techniques, such as histopathology, immunohistochemistry, behavioral tests, and molecular biology assays.
  5. How will you analyze and interpret the data generated from your experiments, and what are your plans for dissemination and communication of your findings?
    Answer: The candidate should describe their analytical methods, such as statistical analysis or bioinformatics, and explain how they will interpret the data to address the research questions and hypotheses.
