Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow (2 positions)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) [2 positions] to work on the Major research project entitled “Novel formulation, metagenome, biochemical and nutrient analysis. of Jiwaamrit using biotechnology intervention” was sanctioned by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at School of Applied Sciences and Technology (SAST), Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. The positions will be purely on a contractual basis

initially for I year and extendable to two more years, subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate.

Age Limit: Preferably below 35 years

Fellowship Duration: Initially for one year and extendable to two more years, subject to satisfactory performance

Eligibility 

1. Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry /Life Sciences /Agricultural Biotechnology/ Agricultural microbiology with NET/GATE/ ICMR/ any other National Eligibility Tests.
   OR
2. Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences /Agricultural Biotechnology/Agricultural Microbiology.

Desired Skills: Research experience in the field of molecular biology techniques, metagenomics, microbial culturing and bioinformatics with scientific writing and good communication skills.

Fellowship:

• A. For candidates having qualifications (as per DST, GoI, Office memorandum SR/S9/Z-O8 /2018 Dt.30/0112019) mentioned at no. 1, the fellowship as per GSBTM will be Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (The candidate will be paid 20% HRA of previous fellowship Rs. 25,000/- (as per DSI GoI, Office memorandum SR/S9/Z-09 12012 Dt. 21 I 1012014)).
• B. For candidates having qualifications mentioned no. 2, the fellowship as per GSBTM will be Rs. 23,213/- Fixed (HRA will not be entitled).
