Job Title: Associate Global Quality Assurance

Location: Coimbatore, IND

Job Summary

The incumbent plays an integral role in the ongoing development and implementation of Avantor’s vision, mission, ICARE Values and Quality Assurance, Quality Management departmental strategy. The incumbent is expected to manage the registration of customers into our service, and handle change notifications. i.e., any changes in products which Avantor sell, should be collected from vendors, maintained in inhouse portal, and inform registered customers, accordingly

Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To drive the global customer enrollment process to our service by customer and product analysis against our ERP system and our supplier database respectively.
  • To create and handle various Change Notification Services’ documents for Europe and North American customers, on the products Avantor sell
  • Manage and work on Change Notification Services mailbox
  • Completion/Handling of allotted requests with an action plan within the defined turn-around time
  • Operational support to all sub-processes & Ad-Hoc projects as needed.
  • Liaise with Europe & North Americas – Internal / External customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Support in the maintenance of our supplier database
  • Handle different AdHoc projects within Change Notification Team & inter/intra department, as and when applicable
  • Maintain Change Notification Portal
  • Renew the customer enrollments periodically.

Experience Requirements:

  • Freshers – Graduate / Post-Graduate in Life Science / Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Experience in the similar profiles is an added advantage
  • Excellent work ethic, shift-flexible, interpersonal skills, and ability to make decisions
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Organizational and computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work with the ability to multitask.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Unyielding integrity.
  • Willingness and ability to pick up new technical skills and information quickly – intellectual curiosity and initiative.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

    Answer: I would start by reviewing the customer and product data available in our ERP system and supplier database to identify potential customers who may benefit from our services. Then, I would create an action plan to contact these customers and explain the benefits of our services. I would also ensure that the enrollment process is streamlined and efficient, and customer data is accurately recorded in our systems.
  3. What strategies would you employ to handle various Change Notification Services documents for Europe and North American customers regarding the products Avantor sell?
    Answer: I would collaborate with our vendors to collect information on any changes in products that we sell and update this information in our in-house portal. Then, I would notify our registered customers of the changes through Change Notification Services documents. I would ensure that all documents are accurate, and any changes are communicated clearly to our customers.
  4. Can you give an example of a challenging situation you faced while working on an Ad-Hoc project, and how you handled it?
    Answer: In my previous role, I was part of a team working on an Ad-Hoc project to streamline the supply chain process for a client. During the project, we encountered some unexpected challenges, including delays in receiving necessary data and miscommunication with the client. To overcome these challenges, I communicated regularly with the team and client, reassessed project timelines and priorities, and developed contingency plans. Through effective communication and collaboration, we were able to complete the project within the set deadline.
  5. What computer skills do you possess, and how proficient are you in MS Word, Excel, and Access?
    Answer: I possess excellent computer skills and have proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access. I have used these programs in my previous roles to organize and analyze data, create reports, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. I am also comfortable learning new software applications and tools as needed to perform my job duties effectively.
