Hey there we can see that you are interested in this Project Assistant vacancy at Amity Institute of Molecular Medicine & Stem Cell Research, so ensure you can check out all of the possible interview questions and the answers below.
- Can you tell us about your experience with protein purification and biochemical assays? Answer: I have experience in protein purification using techniques such as affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, and size exclusion chromatography. I have also performed various biochemical assays such as ELISA, Western blotting, and enzymatic assays.
- What is your knowledge about cloning and molecular biology techniques? Answer: I am familiar with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA sequencing, and gene expression analysis. I have experience in cloning techniques such as restriction enzyme digestion, ligation, and transformation.
- Can you explain the process of genome-wide identification of TPR protein family from M. tuberculosis? Answer: Genome-wide identification of TPR protein family involves the use of computational tools to search for the conserved domains and motifs within the genome sequence of M. tuberculosis. Once the potential candidates are identified, they are further validated using experimental techniques such as protein expression, purification, and characterization.
- What is your understanding of virulence in M. tuberculosis? Answer: Virulence in M. tuberculosis refers to the ability of the bacterium to cause disease in a host. This is achieved through the interaction of the bacterium with the host’s immune system, leading to the production of cytokines and chemokines that cause tissue damage and inflammation.
- Can you tell us about a research project you have previously worked on and your contribution to it? Answer: I worked on a project investigating the role of a specific protein in cancer cell migration. My contribution to the project included designing and performing experiments to characterize the protein’s function and its interaction with other proteins in the pathway. I also analyzed the data and contributed to the preparation of the manuscript for publication.
