Under the project: ICMR-Extramural project“ Barriers of Hydroyurea , Treatment in sickle cell disease ” at ICMR-CRMCH, Chandrapur.

Name of the post: Scientist- C (Non-Medical)

No. of Posts: 1 (One Post)

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years.

Duration: up to one year.

PROCEDURE FOR RECRUITMENT:

2. The list of Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the website. All further information regarding the date, time and link of the interview will be displayed on our website http://www.niih.org.in. Candidates are requested to check the website for regular updates regarding advertisements.
3. Candidates have to make their own arrangements for Video Call/Video-Conferencing facilities for online Interviews. The link will be sent to the shortlisted candidates for online Interviews.
4. Selected candidates will be intimated by email /phone & have to bring all the documents as mentioned above in the Original for verification at the time of appointment.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The above positions are on a temporary contract basis.
2. The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason(s) and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
3. Age, qualifications, etc will be reckoned on the date of the Written Test/ Interview.
4. The appointment can be terminated with one month’s notice from either side without assigning any reason.
5. Since the posts are temporary; the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointment at NIIH or continuation of his/ her services in any other project.
6. Other allowances like CCA, LTC, Medical Claims and PF are not applicable.
7. The recruited project staff is eligible for leave as per project recruitment rules and will have to give an undertaking before joining.
8. At the time of joining duty, the candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualifications (from SSC onwards), Experience, Aadhaar Card, Community and PH certificates (if applicable), and passport-size photograph along with one set of photocopies of the certificates duly attested (can be self-attested) for verification.
9. The conditions of employment will be the same as that of the project staff on a contract basis.
10. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

Emoluments: 51,000/- + HRA 2220/- p.m.

Essential Qualification:

• First Class Master’s Degree in life sciences/ Social Science/from a recognized University with 4 years R&D/Teaching experience/research experience.
  OR
• Second Class M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Social Science + Ph.D. from a recognized University with 4 years R&D/Teaching experience/research experience in equivalent subject

Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. in Social Science/experience in conducting focused group discussion in-depth interviews.

1. Can you tell us about your experience in conducting research studies in life sciences or social science?
   Answer: Yes, I have experience in conducting research studies in both life sciences and social science. I have a First Class Master’s Degree in life sciences and have conducted research in various fields such as genetics and molecular biology. I have also conducted research studies in social science, including focused group discussions and in-depth interviews, as part of my Ph.D. thesis.
2. How do you plan to address the barriers to Hydroxyurea treatment in sickle cell disease as part of the ICMR-Extramural project at ICMR-CRMCH, Chandrapur?
   Answer: I plan to address the barriers to Hydroxyurea treatment in sickle cell disease by conducting a comprehensive study of the factors that contribute to the low uptake of Hydroxyurea treatment in the region. I will also work with healthcare providers to develop interventions to improve patient access to and acceptance of Hydroxyurea treatment.
3. How do you manage your time and priorities when working on multiple projects simultaneously?
   Answer: I manage my time and priorities by setting clear goals and deadlines for each project, and by prioritizing tasks based on their importance and urgency. I also make sure to communicate regularly with my team members and stakeholders to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that we are working towards the same objectives.
4. How would you ensure the quality and integrity of the data collected as part of the ICMR-Extramural project?
   Answer: I would ensure the quality and integrity of the data collected by following established research protocols and using reliable and validated research tools. I would also conduct regular checks to ensure that the data is accurate and complete, and I would work closely with my team members to address any issues that arise during data collection. Finally, I would ensure that the data is stored securely and that appropriate measures are taken to protect the privacy and confidentiality of research participants.
