NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up of the post of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contract basis for the ICMR project titled “Structure function studies on human Sirtuin-6 in complex with small-molecule modulators: A therapeutic target against neurological disorder”, under Dr. Padavattan Sivaraman, Associate Professor, Department of Biophysics & Principal Investigator.

Maximum Age limit – 28 years

Duration of the project – 3 years. (Initial appointment will be made for

a period of six months and will be extended further depending upon the performance of the candidate).

Salary Structure –

1. Rs. 31,000/- + 24 % HRA per month for candidates with CSIR/UGC-JRF/NET, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, GATE etc.,
   Or
2. Rs 25,000/- + 24 % HRA per month for candidates who do not qualify for the National Eligibility test.

Essential Qualification – M.Sc / M.Tech / M.Phil degree in Molecular biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biophysics/ Life Science/ Microbiology or any other related degree from a recognized institute/University with a good academic record.

Desirable – Candidates with prior research experience in molecular, biochemical, and protein crystallization techniques are desirable.

Nature of Work – The project involves extensive cloning, protein purification, biochemical assay and Protein crystallography techniques.
