Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following positions.
Name of position: Technician – Facility (03 nos)
Position 1: (To be hired through M/s IR Technology)
Emolument: Rs. 30,000/- per month
Job Profile:
- Regular operation, upkeep and maintenance of the in-house protein X-ray Diffraction facility and crystallization robot
- Assist in crystallization screening and protein X-ray diffraction data collection for internal and external users
Position 2: (To be hired through M/s Beckman Coulter Life Sciences)
Emolument: Rs. 30,000/- per month
Job Profile:
- Regular operation, upkeep and maintenance of the in-house Analytical Ultra Centrifugation facility
- Assist in AUC experiments and data analysis for internal and external users
Position 3: (To be hired through the Institute’s manpower outsourcing agency)
Emolument: As per the rules of the minimum wage laid down by the Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India under the skilled category
Job Profile: Regular operation, upkeep and maintenance of the in-house High Content Screening facility.
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or an allied subject. Candidates having prior experience working with the said facilities will be given preference. Training will be provided, if necessary.
Age Limit: The candidate should be below 35 years of age, as of 02.01.2023.

The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the ILS website and intimated over email. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview. The decision of the institute regarding the selection of the candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
