Online applications are invited through the online system on the ICMR-NARI website up to 04-11-2022 for the following post under the project entitled, “HIV Sentinel Surveillance (HSS) & Epidemiology”. Age Concession: Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons. Government servants should apply through the proper channels or enclose a `No Objection Certificate from the present office/employer along with their application. The selected candidate should be willing to join immediately. Local candidates will be given preference. Director, ICMR-NARI reserves the right to shortlist the candidates to be interviewed. Essential Qualification – 1st Class Masters Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university with 5 years of experience
OR
2nd Class Masters Degree (M.Sc) + Ph.D degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university with 3 years experience.
Desirable Qualification –
- Experience having worked in the diagnostic test of HIV/ AIDS, STI, and Hepatitis.
- Experience in conducting and monitoring large-scale testing.
- Knowledge of biosafety and containment laboratory concepts.
- Experience in medical microbiology.
Job Responsibilities –
- Monitoring testing of serum/plasma/DBS samples(ELISA, Western Blot, Rapid Test)
- Travel for Monitoring & supervision of Lab work at the sites & State laboratories
- Arrange Meetings & training under lab work.
- Coordination with concerned Authorities at State & National levels.
- The incumbent will support the implementation of surveillance activities & supportive supervision of surveillance.
- Report writing & development of laboratory guidelines & SOP’s.
- Any other task assigned by the concerned officer at the institute from time to time.
Consolidated Salary – Rs.64000/- per month
