Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, the Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following position.

Name of the Post – Laboratory Technician

No. of Posts – 01 Position

Age Limit – The candidate should be below 28 years of age, as of 21.09.2022. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules.

How to Apply –

Selected candidates will be hired through the Institute’s manpower outsourcing agency under the Skilled category (based on their qualifications and experience) and will be paid as per the rules of the minimum wage laid down by the Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India

The selected candidates will not have any right to claim explicit or implicit for any post in the Institute of Life Sciences. Only names of shortlisted candidates will be published on the Institute website and separate call letters will not be issued. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of the candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Walk-in-interview: 21st September 2022 from 10:00 AM onwards

Essential Qualification – B.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences Or +2 Science with DMLT and 01 year of working experience. Candidates having experience in the research laboratory will be preferred.

Job Profile:

1. Managing Lab orders (Preparing indents, following up with the vendors, obtaining quotes)
2. General Laboratory works and lab organization
3. Preparing and autoclaving buffers/reagents for the lab’s common use.
4. Basic molecular biology and protein chemistry work
5. Routine technical support to PhD students.
