Project Title – Salmonella infection mediated obesity and diabetes a new tale of study using Caenorhabditis elegans
Outline of the project – The project aims to understand impact of Salmonella infection on obesity and diabetes. The project utilizes experimental approaches using C. elegans, microbiology, physiology and infection biology.
Duration – One year (extendable based upon performance).

Essential qualifications/experience – Masters in any branch of Life Sciences with first division or equivalent CGPA and the candidates should have qualified National Eligibility Test-LS /or GATE (mandatory) or any other equivalent national level exams. A minimum of 1-2 years research experience of working with C. elegans and microbes will be given preference.
Desirables – Hand on all basic microbiology techniques, molecular biology, microscopy and cell biology will be an advantage.
